In an exclusive interview with CNN (citing Android Authority), Won Joon Choi, Samsung’s executive director of mobile devices, shared his vision for the future of wearable technology:«We are convinced that such devices should be as comfortable as possible — ones that you don’t notice in everyday life. They could be glasses, earrings, watches, rings or even necklaces», —Choi noted.

While this isn’t direct confirmation of the soon-to-be-released Galaxy Earrings or Galaxy Necklace, it’s clear that Samsung:

  • Actively exploring different technological solutions
  • Analyzes potentially successful form factors
  • Strives to offer users fundamentally new options

The company is focusing on developing smart glasses, which have been rumored to be in the works for quite some time. Choi admits:«We are indeed working on glasses, but we realize that not everyone is ready to change their image. So we’re exploring alternatives in parallel»

  • Advanced AI processing systems
  • Digital assistant capabilities
  • Ecosystem integration (possibly including solutions from OpenAI)
  • Long-lasting batteries
  • Optimized power consumption
  • Innovative charging solutions

According to experts, the wearable device market could offer consumers an unprecedented variety of choices in the coming years, and Samsung clearly intends to take the lead in this segment.
