Razer unveiled the BlackShark V3 Pro headset with 10ms latency and THX Spatial Audio

Razer has launched the BlackShark V3 series of wireless gaming headsets designed for cybersports. The lineup includes models for PC, PlayStation and Xbox with low audio latency, spatial positioning system and optimization for each platform.
BlackShark V3 Pro gets updated wireless technology
The flagship BlackShark V3 Pro is Razer’s first headset to feature second-generation HyperSpeed Wireless technology. It delivers audio latency as low as 10 milliseconds – a third slower than other top models (15ms). The headset features a detachable 12mm HyperClear Full Band microphone, with directional audio pickup and a 48kHz sampling rate.

The BlackShark V3 Pro is the first in a series with a hybrid active noise canceling system. Four-microphone circuitry effectively cuts out background noise, while the closed-back design and memory foam ear cushions create acoustic isolation.

The enhanced 50mm TriForce drivers utilize biocellulose diaphragms for more accurate sound reproduction. The manufacturer claims a 50% reduction in harmonic distortion and 75% magnetic field enhancement – for greater spatial accuracy. Available in the PC version is THX Spatial Audio technology with 7.1.4 configuration, which includes four virtual top channels for precise vertical location of sound sources.
Emphasis on multi-platform and support for cyber athletes
The BlackShark V3 Pro was developed with input from professional players including NiKo and Shotzzy. The headset supports four types of connectivity: 2.4GHz radio, Bluetooth, USB-A, and 3.5mm analog input. Simultaneous audio streaming via 2.4GHz and Bluetooth is possible.
There are 12 built-in EQ presets for popular shooters, as well as support for up to 9 custom profiles that are stored in the headset’s memory. Each version is customized for a different platform: the PC model supports THX Spatial Audio, the PlayStation version works with Tempest 3D Audio, and the Xbox version features Windows Sonic compatibility.

Junior series models and pricing
In addition to the BlackShark V3 Pro, the company has introduced two more models. The BlackShark V3 gets TriForce Titanium speakers, THX Spatial Audio support, and a wideband microphone. The budget-friendly BlackShark V3 X HyperSpeed is entry-level with wireless connectivity, 7.1 audio, a cardioid microphone, and 50mm TriForce speakers.
