MSI is preparing to release MSI Z790MPower motherboard

MSI revives the forgotten MPOWER series of motherboards for enthusiasts. The company is preparing to release the Z790 MPOWER motherboard with an LGA 1700 CPU socket. It is worth noting, MPOWER series boards were advertised as the first products “certified for overclocking”. MPOWER series was popular among enthusiasts for its reliability and relatively low cost. The return of the MPOWER series is surprising considering the last motherboards were released almost seven years ago.
MSI is preparing to release a compact Z790 MPOWER motherboard for Micro-ATX systems. It has two RAM slots, two PCIe x16 slots and one PCIe x1 slot. The novelty is based on a 15-phase VRM power subsystem. It is necessary to specify that the novelty is compatible with Intel Core processors of 12, 13 and 14 generations. The power subsystem has 15 phases and two eight-pin connectors. VRM zone is covered with heatsinks, and there is also a separate heatsink for SSD. The model supports top-end DIMM strips and DDR5-8000+ modules. MSI Z790MPower has two M.2 SSD slots, four SATA 6Gbps ports and two PCIe 4.0 x4 ports. A module for Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2 wireless connectivity is provided. Wired networking is available at 2.5Gbps.
The Z790MPOWER board is expected to be available in stores with a recommended price of $199 and $229 including tax.
