JMGO has introduced a compact laser UST projector with a 100-inch image from 22 cm
JMGO is again expanding its projector lineup — this time with the JMGO O3 model, an ultra-short throw (UST) laser projector designed for large screens in confined spaces.
The projector’s main feature — its compact size. Measuring just 250 × 219 × 107 mm and weighing around 2.4 kg, it is considerably smaller than its «older» O2S Ultra model, which is almost twice as large and heavy. At this size, the projector’s capabilities are impressive: The JMGO O3 is capable of displaying a 100-inch image just 22 cm from the wall, thanks to a projection ratio of 0.18:1. This allows you to create a home theater even in small rooms where larger UST projectors simply wouldn’t fit — such as bedrooms, small apartments, dorms or as an additional media system.
The unit uses a tri-laser MALC light engine coupled with a 1080p DLP chip. Brightness is claimed at 1,400 ISO lumens — an impressive figure for a projector of this size and cost. The company also specifies 110% coverage of the BT.2020 color space and a contrast ratio of 10,000:1, indicating a wide color reproduction that is rare for budget laser models.
To simplify installation, the JMGO O3 supports autofocus, auto trapezoid correction, auto-fit to the screen, wall color calibration, and AI-based black level enhancement. Gamers will be happy with support for HDMI 2.1 and up to 120Hz, though the base resolution remains 1080p. There’s Wi-Fi 6, and the Chinese version runs on the proprietary Bonfire OS. If the projector makes it to the global market, it will almost certainly move to the more familiar streaming services platform. Sound is handled by a built-in 20W speaker system.
