Google expands color options for budget Pixel Buds 2a with new shades

Google is gearing up to refresh the color lineup of its affordable Pixel Buds 2a wireless earbuds, originally launched in August last year. Official renders shared by Android Headlines reveal that alongside the existing Hazel (olive) and Iris (purple) tones, two new colors will join the roster: a light gray called Mist and a soft pink named Berry. These new shades are expected to drop alongside the Pixel 9a smartphone launch, which, according to leaks, will feature a similar color palette.
The earbuds’ tech specs remain unchanged. They retain the ergonomic design shaped from scans of over 45 million ears, plus IP54-rated sweat and water resistance. Under the hood, the Pixel Buds 2a pack Google’s custom Tensor A1 chip, 11mm dynamic drivers, and the Silent Seal 1.5 active noise cancellation system-with adjustable ear pressure for comfort. Call quality gets a boost from Super Wideband AI noise cancellation and wind protection.
Battery life stands at up to 7 hours with noise cancellation enabled, and up to 20 hours total with the charging case. The case supports fast charging: just 5 minutes plugged in provides about an hour of playback. The charging case exterior will remain white for the new colors, while the interior matches the earbuds’ shade. Key features include instant pairing with Pixel devices, multipoint connectivity, spatial audio, and voice access to Google’s Gemini assistant.
