CES 2026: Samsung showed concepts of AI devices with OLED displays
Samsung Display is showcasing its technology this week at the Consumer Electronics Show 2026 in Las Vegas.
The company is unveiling new concept products as part of a private exhibition for partners from a variety of industries — including robotics, automotive and entertainment — the company. The main focus is on so-called «edge devices» (edge devices), which show what the AI devices of the future could look like and what role Samsung’s OLED displays could play in them. One such example was the AI OLED Bot concept.
This concept is a small robot that is supposed to be used as an assistant in universities. It can escort students to classrooms, provide information about professors and courses. Students will also be able to check assignments or cancel classes directly on Samsung’s built-in 13.4-inch OLED display, which is especially useful in environments where voice commands or speakers are difficult to use.

Samsung also showed several concepts of AI assistants in the format of speaker devices equipped with OLED displays. Such devices will be able to offer AI-based music recommendations and act as a personal assistant.

Unlike conventional Bluetooth speakers that depend on a smartphone or other external source, these devices with displays will be able to operate autonomously. Users will be able to select content directly on the device itself, as well as use images and videos to create a specific ambiance in the interior.

The concepts shown include — an AI OLED Mood Lamp with a 13.4-inch OLED display that adjusts the lighting to the music playing, an AI OLED Cassette with a small 1.5-inch OLED screen, and an AI OLED Turntable with a round 13.4-inch OLED display with retro styling.

Samsung emphasizes, however, that it won’t necessarily produce all of these devices itself. The concepts shown are meant to show that Samsung Display already has ready-made display solutions that can be used by any manufacturer interested in developing similar products.
