Casio G-SHOCK Urban Utility Series: an eco-friendly watch for urban life introduced

Casio has announced a new G-SHOCK Urban Utility series of watches, consisting of four models that combine durability, functionality and eco-friendliness with a focus on urban users. The new lineup includes two types of models, the DW-5610UU and GA-B2100LUU, each emphasizing sustainable materials and durability. The main material for the case and strap is biomass-based bioplastic, which is in line with Casio’s environmental goals.

The DW-5610UU is available in green and gray and features a layered bezel and an inverted LCD display that makes it easier to read in low-light conditions. It also features Super Illuminator, a powerful LED backlight for enhanced visibility.

Model GA-B2100LUU, which comes in beige and gray, is highlighted by a two-tone dual bezel that gives the watch visual depth. It also has a carbon fiber reinforced case, making it stable and lightweight at the same time.

The two models in the Urban Utility series are designed for everyday use and extreme conditions. They are impact-resistant and feature Carbon Core Guard construction for added protection. They’re also waterproof up to 20 ATM, making them suitable for outdoor activities and everyday wear.

The series supports Bluetooth connectivity, allowing you to synchronize the watch with the “CASIO WATCHES” app to automatically set the time, get time information for 300 cities around the world, and set reminders and phone lookup functions. The watch uses solar charging through the Tough Solar system and can run for up to 18 months without recharging in power-saving mode.
