Apple has patented a soundbar speaker similar to the HomePod

The company has filed a new patent application for a device that’s different from Apple’s usual products. The device, which partially resembles the HomePod smart speaker, surpasses it in both size and functionality. Details of the unannounced new product have already surfaced online.
Some of the details of the unannounced new product have been released.
It appears from the patent images that this is a stationary speaker system that looks like a wide Bluetooth speaker or a small soundbar. A separate element, possibly a small display or a glowing pad (similar to the HomePod mini), can be seen on the front of the cloth-clad speaker, and the back of the device has ports of an unknown type.
At the back of the device, there’s a small display or a glowing pad.
In contrast to the existing HomePod speaker, this one has connectors for additional devices, as well as the ability to pair two speakers in stereo over the air. The patent is titled “Audio Speaker System,” which could indicate that Apple is registering not just a new HomePod design, but a multi-room system or a set of home theater speakers.
