Apple watchOS 11.4 has disappeared in the latest software release

Although Apple’s WWDC 2025 event and watchOS 12 unveiling will take place in just a few weeks, the company continues to support watchOS 11 for its top-of-the-line Apple Watch models. However, the latest version of the software, watchOS 11.4, wasn’t released at the same time as other updates from Apple.

According to many observers on Platform X, Apple unveiled iOS 18.4 for all current iPhone models on March 31, as well as updates to iPadOS 18.4, macOS 15.4, and tvOS, including innovations for Apple Vision Pro.

At first, everyone expected the Apple Watch update to be released on the same day. However, after the traditional release time of 1 p.m. Eastern time, it became apparent that watchOS 11.4 was a no-show, despite the fact that information about it had been posted on Apple’s official website.

So far, watchOS 11.4 has never been released, although it was previously listed on the company’s website and subsequently removed. This raises some questions: perhaps Apple didn’t originally plan to release this version on March 31, and the listing on the site turned out to be a mistake. The reasons could have been server or download problems, or simply incomplete software.

WatchOS 11.4 was expected to offer users new emoji, bug fixes, updates to Matter-compatible robot vacuum cleaners, and an interesting feature that allows Sleep Wake Up alarm clocks to work even in silent mode.

Unfortunately, these features are not yet available. There’s currently no clear information on why watchOS 11.4’s release has been delayed and when it might come out – it could be today, or in a few days or even weeks.
