Apple released iOS 18.4: Apple Intelligence expansion and new features
By ForGeeks Apple has officially released iOS 18.4, expanding support for Apple Intelligence in the European Union and India. The update also adds support for new languages including French, German, Italian, Portuguese (Brazil), Spanish (Spain, Latin America, US), Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese, and localized English for India and Singapore.
The Apple Intelligence features are available on the iPhone 15 Pro, 15 Pro Max, and upcoming iPhone 16, as well as iPads and Macs with M1 chips and newer. For older devices, Apple has released iOS and iPadOS 16.7.11 and iOS and iPadOS 15.8.4.
The key new features of iOS 18.4 include Priority Notifications, which allows important notifications to be pinned to the top of the screen. The Image Playground adds a new Sketch style for generating images. Visual Intelligence is now available on iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max.
Apple also released iPadOS 18.4, macOS 15.4, watchOS 11.4, and visionOS 2.4. The visionOS 2.4 update adds support for Writing Tools, Image Playground, Genmoji, and Smart Reply, but only in English (US) for now. There’s a new iOS app for Apple Vision Pro that lets you upload content and get tips.
In watchOS 11.4, Break Through Silent Mode has been added, allowing sounds and vibrations to work even in silent mode. It also adds Matter support for controlling smart home devices such as robot vacuum cleaners. The update includes bug fixes and stability improvements.
