Apple introduced AppleCare One, a unified protection plan for iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch

Apple has launched AppleCare One, a subscription that combines protection for multiple devices into a single plan. The new format covers iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch and includes 24/7 support, accidental damage repair and theft protection.
Universal approach instead of separate subscriptions
AppleCare One offers centralized protection for up to three devices for $19.99 per month. There’s a $5.99 surcharge for each additional device over the limit. Unlike AppleCare+, which is a per-product plan, the new plan gives you the flexibility to manage all your devices in one subscription.
The plan covers any model, including the iPhone 16 Pro Max and Apple Watch Ultra, with no price increase. It’s also the first time that theft and loss protection is included not just for iPhone, but also for iPad and Apple Watch.
You can connect devices you’ve already purchased
AppleCare One allows you to add devices you’ve previously purchased – as long as they’re no more than four years old (one year for headphones) and in working order. This compares favorably to the standard AppleCare+ plan, which you had to sign up for within 60 days of purchase.
When a device is replaced through the trade-in program, the subscription is automatically transferred to the new device. You can also manually change the mix of connected devices at any time.
Some limitations still exist
The subscription is tied to your Apple ID, so you can’t share it with other family members. Theft and loss protection is limited to three incidents per year for the entire set of devices – whereas AppleCare+ allowed two incidents per device.

When and how to connect
AppleCare One will be available in the U.S. starting July 24. You can subscribe via iPhone, iPad, Mac, apple.com or any Apple Store. The plan will be available in other countries in the future. AppleCare One isn’t available in Russia, and likely never will be.
