Netflix’s new Castlevania series has been given a release date

The release date for Netflix’s new animated Castlevania series has been revealed. Castlevania: Nocturne will premiere on the streaming service on September 28th. The company announced that the series was in production last June.

«The series is being produced under the direction of showrunner Kevin Cold and creator/writer Clive Bradley by Project 51 Productions, with support from Powerhouse Animation» — says the description accompanying the series’ demo trailer, which can be viewed below.

The Netflix series is about Richter, a descendant of the Belmont family made popular by the iconic Symphony of Night and Blood of Rondo Castlevania games. The last major installment in Konami’s Castlevania series was Lords of Shadow 2, released in 2014, which was outsourced to third-party developer — Spanish studio MercurySteam.
