Borderlands is getting an interactive series
By ForGeeks Genvid Entertainment and Gearbox Entertainment have announced «an interactive streaming series» Borderlands EchoVision Live. Blending the worlds of television and gaming, Genvid says its games are created with community involvement from the start, allowing participants to directly influence the development of the story.
The studio, which is also working on Silent Hill: Ascension, announced a new Borderlands project at San Diego Comic-Con. It will focus on the «misadventures of eight unsuspecting tourists who find themselves in danger on Eden 6 after embarking on an «adventure safari» to follow in the footsteps of vault hunters and bask in their glory».
Genvid says: «Viewers from around the world will determine whether these new characters go from zero to hero, how they handle the pressure, how they treat each other and what kind of person — and future Vault Hunter — each of them» will become.
It was confirmed last week that the Borderlands feature film will hit theaters on August 9, 2024. Starring Cate Blanchett as Lilith, Kevin Hart as Roland and Jack Black as Claptrap, the film is being written and directed by Eli Roth.
