Xiaomi has unveiled the updated Redmi Book 14 (2025) and Redmi Book 16 (2025) laptops
By ForGeeks The updated versions of the Redmi Book 14 and Redmi Book 16 laptops were announced in China today. These models are similar to the 2024 versions, but they now feature Intel Core 5 220H processors.

The main improvement is a 15.6% improvement in battery life. Redmi claims this is made possible by artificial intelligence integrated into the Intel processor, although the battery capacity remains the same.

The Redmi Book 14 laptop features a 16:10 aspect ratio screen with a resolution of 2,880 x 1,800 pixels. The panel supports 120Hz refresh rate, 400 nits brightness and covers 100% of the sRGB color space. In the Redmi Book 16 model, the screen has a resolution of 2,560 x 1,600 pixels, keeping the same specifications but with a slightly modified aspect ratio.

The two models are equipped with up to 32GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB of PCIe 4.0 SSD. The laptops run Windows 11, and feature a dual-fan cooling system.

Battery and charging
The Redmi Book 14 laptop has a 56Wh battery, while the Redmi Book 16 model has a 72Wh battery. Both models support 100W fast charging using a GaN-based adapter. The devices feature USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 ports for data transfer and charging, one HDMI 2.1 port for connecting external displays, two USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 ports, one USB-A 2.0 port and a 3.5mm audio jack.

Entry into international markets
There are likely no plans for Xiaomi to release these laptops outside of China. The last time the Redmi Book model was launched internationally was in early 2023, but there is hope that the company may update its limited lineup for global markets.
