MSI unveiled Thunder Shadow 17 gaming laptop with Ryzen 9 and RTX 4070
By ForGeeks MSI has announced the Thunder Shadow 17 — a new gaming laptop with a high level of specs. It features a combination of AMD and NVIDIA hardware and offers a gorgeous “cyber sports” screen, Wi-Fi 7 support, and a large battery capacity.
The laptop got a 17-inch display with a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels, refreshed at 240Hz and capable of reproducing 100% of the DCI-P3 color space. The model’s hardware platform is based on a Ryzen 9 7940HX processor, a GeForce RTX 4070 discrete graphics card, 16GB of DDR5-5200 RAM and a 1TB SSD drive (PCle 4.0). According to brand claims, the Qualcomm FastConnect 7800 (Wi-Fi 7) module delivers speeds of up to 5.8Gbps.

The battery of the new Thunder Shadow 17 device has a capacity of 99.9Wh and supports 100W fast charging technology. There’s also a SteelSeries keyboard with RGB backlighting, Hi-Res stereo speakers, and Nahimic sound enhancement technology. The list of interfaces includes USB Type-C 3.2 Gen 2 ports, USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A, HDMI 2.1, Ethernet, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
SteelSeries is also supporting a SteelSeries keyboard with RGB backlighting, stereo speakers with HiRes support, and Nahimic sound enhancement technology.
The MSI Thunder Shadow 17 is priced at $1,410 (RUB 124,500).
