Gamescom 2025: Samsung unveils new Odyssey G7 monitors and expands 3D gaming ecosystem

Samsung unveiled its new Odyssey G7 (G75F) monitors and expanded its glasses-free 3D gaming ecosystem at Gamescom 2025, which takes place in Germany from August 20-24. The company is also showcasing its Odyssey OLED monitors through partnerships with leading game studios.

The Odyssey G7 lineup now includes a 37-inch 4K UHD (3840 × 2160, 16:9) display and a 40-inch Wide UHD (5120 × 2160, 21:9) model – a first in that size for Samsung. Both monitors feature VA panels with 1000R curvature, 1ms response time (GtG) and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro support. The 37-inch model has a refresh rate of 165Hz, while the 40-inch model has a refresh rate of 180Hz. Both displays offer 350 nits of brightness, VESA DisplayHDR 600 certification, and HDR10+ Gaming support.

On the connectivity side, one DisplayPort 1.4, two HDMI 2.1 and a USB hub (1 incoming, 2 outgoing) are offered. Picture-by-Picture and Picture-in-Picture are available for multitasking, as well as CoreSync and Auto Source Switch+. Ergonomic stands allow for tilt, swivel, and height adjustments.
In Korea and the U.S., the Odyssey G7 is on sale now for $899.99 for the 37-inch model and $1,199.99 for the 40-inch model. The monitors will be available in Europe in September. Gamescom attendees can test them out by playing Genshin Impact at Samsung’s booth in Hall 9.
The company is also showing off the Odyssey 3D (G90XF), which supports glasses-free 3D gaming with focal length and depth adjustments. More than 25 games are currently available through the Odyssey 3D Hub, with more than 50 games expected to be available by the end of the year. These include Lies of P: Overture, Mongil: Star Dive, Stellar Blade and The First Berserker: Khazan.

Samsung is also unveiling a line of OLED monitors in partnership with major gaming studios. Blizzard has equipped its World of Warcraft booth with more than 80 Odyssey OLED G6 (500Hz) monitors, and Pearl Abyss is using about 180 Odyssey OLED G6 and G8 models to showcase Crimson Desert. The G8 supports 4K resolution at 240Hz.
