Anker has introduced a new backup system for the smart home

Anker has opened pre-orders for the Solix E10 smart hybrid home backup system. The device is designed both for use during power outages and to reduce electricity costs. The system can be powered by solar panels or a smart generator, and the battery capacity is expandable up to 90 kWh if needed.

Anker positions the Solix E10 as an all-in-one solution for emergencies and everyday energy conservation. The system supports pre-storm alerts, allowing you to proactively start charging your batteries before the weather worsens. In addition, the company claims that when solar generation is used in combination with time-of-day (TOU) tariff mode, energy costs can be reduced by up to 80%.

Anker’s Solix E10 is designed to be an all-in-one solution for emergencies and everyday energy savings.

The basic version of the Solix E10 includes a power module and a 6 kWh battery. The system is scalable up to 90 kWh, which Anker estimates is enough for 12 hours to 15 days of autonomous operation, depending on the load. Solar panels can also be used as a power source, supporting input power up to 27 kW. An optional connection is provided for Anker’s proprietary smart generator, which can run on gasoline, natural gas or propane. The generator automatically suspends operation during preset quiet hours so as not to disturb users at night.

The Anker Solix E10 has a nominal power output of 7.6 kW and can reach up to 30 kW in Turbo Output mode. The system is able to cope with sudden load surges, such as when starting up a 5-ton central air conditioner, thanks to a peak output of up to 66 kW. Additional accessories are available for enhanced operation, including a 200A Power Dock, which also provides near-instantaneous switching in the event of a power outage — in less than 20 milliseconds. The system can be controlled and power consumption monitored remotely via the Anker app.

The E10 Base System kit is priced at $4,299. The E10 kit with Smart Inlet Box costs $4,599, the kit with Power Dock — $5,799, and the maximum kit with Power Dock and Smart Generator costs $7,399.
