According to the company’s data, the total volume of the market in monetary terms exceeded 53.5 billion rubles.
Demand for laptops remains stable: Russians are actively upgrading devices for work, study, and everyday tasks. Buyers are increasingly choosing models with an optimal balance of features, energy efficiency and reasonable price. The average cost of a laptop in early 2025 was about 60 thousand rubles, which is 2 thousand lower than a year earlier. Analysts attribute this decrease to the updated assortment, changes in supply conditions and an active promotional offer, which made the devices more affordable.
According to Kirill Isaev, head of the Laptops category at M.Video-Eldorado, buyers are becoming more and more conscious:
“Consumers are comparing features and prices more closely and are willing to wait for a favorable offer. This affects both sales dynamics and brand strategy. Leaders are betting on mid-segment models, while interest in the premium level is supported by a loyal audience. In addition, the positions of Chinese manufacturers have noticeably strengthened – they are actively developing affordable lines up to 70 thousand rubles and successfully compete with more traditional players.
Top brands by revenue
The leader in terms of sales volume in monetary terms was ASUS. The success was ensured by a wide model lineup covering both casual and gaming laptops. In second place was Apple, which traditionally shows high demand due to its strong ecosystem and user loyalty. The top five also included Huawei, MSI and Lenovo, offering solutions in different price segments.
Top brands by number of devices sold
The ranking by number of laptops sold is much the same as the revenue picture, but there are some differences.
- ASUS is back at the top of the list, with a wide range of models for school, work and home.
- Huawei shows stable growth in unit sales due to its attractive price/performance ratio.
- Lenovo confidently maintains its position in the mass segment, offering reliable and affordable devices.
- Apple is consistently in the top five, especially popular among students and professionals who value the brand’s ecosystem.
