According to TASS, Yandex is creating a separate brand for unmanned car and delivery robot projects. The new brand will be called “Autonomous Transportation”, and the company has already filed an application for a corresponding trademark.

The new business will develop software, components, and create robots and unmanned cars. All work is done in Moscow, and most of the components and software are developed in-house.
Reminder that Yandex has been developing autonomous driving technology since 2017, and the company’s first delivery robot was unveiled in 2019. For them, Yandex is already producing suspensions, chassis, bodies, on-board computers, ultrasonic sensors, removable batteries, cameras, and electronic control units for the wheels and peripheral mechanics.
