New Hyundai IONIQ 6 and sporty version of IONIQ 6 N Line unveiled in Seoul
By ForGeeks At the international Seoul Mobility Show 2025 Hyundai officially unveiled an updated version of its electric sedan, the IONIQ 6, as well as its new variant, the IONIQ 6 N Line. The new products demonstrate the evolution of the design and technology of the model that debuted in 2022 and emphasize refined aesthetics, a premium interior and a more sporty character.
New look at the “electric streamliner”
The refreshed IONIQ 6 is built on the design philosophy “Pure Flow, Refined” -“pure flow, refined to perfection.” As Simon Loasby, head of Hyundai’s design center, noted, every element of the body has been redesigned to make the car more harmonious and aerodynamic, retaining a recognizable silhouette but adding sophistication and technology.

The hood is taller, the body lines are more elongated, and the signature “shark” nose emphasizes the sweeping profile. The lower black trim now extends over the doors, visually lengthening the car. The large rear spoiler of the previous model has been replaced by a refined «duck tail» that retains aerodynamics but creates a smoother, more restrained silhouette.
Front and rear get redesigned headlights and daytime running lights – the narrow DRLs are now separate from the main headlights. Horizontal elements at the front and rear create a visually wider stance. The rear bumper is complemented by a modern chrome insert, reflecting the styling of the front end.
Interior: minimalist and intuitive
The interior of the new IONIQ 6 retains the concept of Mindful Cocoon -a space where everything is subordinated to comfort and focus on the road. Hyundai has improved door trim materials, reshaped the steering wheel and redesigned the center console to make it more comfortable. The climate control display has also been enlarged, making it easier to operate on the move.
IONIQ 6 N Line: sporty styling and aggressive bodywork
In addition to the base model, the company has also unveiled the IONIQ 6 N Line – a sporty version with exterior elements in the spirit of the experimental electric car RN22e introduced in 2022. It’s not a full-fledged N (it’ll come out later), but it’s already quite charged visually and stylistically.
The wings-style front and rear bumper, aggressive aerodynamic lines, black inserts on the sides and the signature bodykit make the car visually closer to the ground and emphasize its sporty character. The Parametric Pixel lighting elements add to the digital futurism.
The full-fledged IONIQ 6 N – out this summer
Hyundai also confirmed that the full-fledged sporty version of the IONIQ 6 N is being actively worked on. It will be unveiled as early as July 2025, and is expected to be a full-fledged electric hot sedan ready to compete with the Tesla Model 3 Performance and other high-powered EVs.
