Production of Uraman cars begins in Russia
The Veles automobile plant located in the port special economic zone “Ulyanovsk” will launch production of trucks under the Uraman brand. This was announced by the head of the region, Alexey Russkikh. This project became possible due to partnership with the Chinese company, which has already launched in the city of Tacheng a plant for the production of machine kits designed for large-unit assembly of chassis.

At the initial stage, the vehicles are expected to be assembled using Chinese parts, however, in the future, it is planned to gradually increase the share of Russian components in the production of trucks and specialized vehicles.
According to information provided by Veles, the plant’s production capacity is estimated at up to 2,000 vehicles annually. The range of products includes 35 modifications of chassis, including flatbed and dump versions, as well as garbage trucks, truck cranes and multifunctional platforms designed for installation of various equipment.
