From 22:00 to 07:00 the movement of motorcycles is prohibited on key sections of the central streets of Tyumen. We are talking about Respublika (from Profsoyuznaya to Yamskaya), Lenin (from Respublika to Profsoyuznaya), Yamskaya (from Kommunisticheskaya to Polevaya) and Lunacharskogo (from Kommunisticheskaya to Polevaya) streets. Appropriate road signs have been installed on these sections.
According to the city administration, the purpose of the restriction is to protect residents from night noise and prevent accidents involving bikers. The decision was made after analyzing the citizens’ appeals and statistics on violations.

Pavel Dolgovykh, head of the department of road infrastructure and transportation, noted that this is the first time such a measure has been applied in Tyumen. However, according to him, a similar approach has already been used for heavy trucks during the season, and it has shown its effectiveness.
