Hyundai is preparing the most compact electric car in the Ioniq range: THREE concept to be shown in Munich

Hyundai is working on the smallest member of its Ioniq lineup and today published the first teaser of the new concept. It’s just a sketch for now, but the car will make its full debut at the Munich Motor Show, which runs from September 9 to 14.
Hyundai is working on the smallest member of its Ioniq lineup and today released the first teaser of the new concept.
This will be the first compact electric car under the Ioniq brand, and it goes by the name THREE. Interestingly, a prototype, presumably called the Ioniq 2, was previously spotted on German roads. However, the concept is officially presented exactly as THREE, which could mean its market launch under the name Ioniq 3. The lines of the camouflaged prototype do resemble the outline on the published sketch.

Hyundai says the concept’s side profile showcases a “bold and energetic stance” inspired by the way steel bends and flows. The car has been given sculpted surfaces, crisp intersecting lines and expressive elements that emphasize movement and precision.
The side view also reveals the so-called “Aero Hatch” in the rear, which the company positions as “a new body type that redefines the silhouette of the compact electric car.”
