Two new sports prototypes will be shown at the first REC round

On May 24, the first round of the Russian series of endurance races will take place at Moscow Raceway. Two new domestic sports prototypes will take part in the races: FDR12 from Moscow Polytechnic and Seven coupe from “Design Bureau 7”.
The first round of the Russian Endurance Racing Series will be held on May 24 at Moscow Raceway.
The race will open the season under the name Grand Prix Auto Mail. This year the number of competitors has grown by a third. GT and sports prototype cars are announced, including two technical novelties created by Moscow engineering teams.
The first sports prototype, the FDR12, was prepared by Moscow Polytechnic. It is equipped with a 420 horsepower hybrid propulsion system and can reach 270 kilometers per hour. The design is based on a composite body with aluminum honeycomb, and the level of localization exceeds 70 percent. The university develops and manufactures most of the components itself.

The second new product is the Seven coupe. The car weighs just 700 pounds and uses Toyota’s atmospheric 3.5-liter V6 engine with 350 horsepower. The gearbox is sequential, made by the British company Gearset.
Besides them, the race will feature a modified Marussia GT, Ferrari 488, Lamborghini Huracan GT3 Evo, Porsche 911 GT3 Cup (992), Mercedes-AMG GT3 and GT4, Audi RS 3 LMS, Ligier JS 53 Evo 2 sports prototype, Mini Cooper (F46), and other cars.
