The agreement also includes expanding the partnership beyond mobile devices. Qualcomm and Xiaomi plan to work together in categories such as cars, AR/VR devices, wearable electronics, tablets and smart homes. Qualcomm emphasized that it will provide technical support and advanced technology for the entire Xiaomi ecosystem.
The partnership between the companies began with the release of the first Xiaomi Mi 1 smartphone in 2011 and has continued to grow. The latest Mi 15 series devices have become commercially successful thanks to the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, the most powerful mobile SoC on the market. In the automotive sector, Xiaomi SU7 uses Snapdragon Cockpit and Auto 5G Modem-RF, while in the wearable segment, it uses Snapdragon S7 and W5+ Gen 1 chips.
The parties reaffirmed their intention to continue to closely integrate Qualcomm solutions in Xiaomi products over the coming years to further shape the advanced technology experience on a global scale.
