DAB Motors has launched its first production electric bike, the DAB 1α

French company DAB Motors, with support from Peugeot, has unveiled its first production electric bike, the DAB 1α. The model will be produced in a limited edition to emphasize the fusion of technology and luxury.
The DAB 1α electric bike is equipped with a Gates Carbon belt drive and a 34.6 hp (25.5 kW) electric motor, which allows it to accelerate up to 130 km/h. The motorcycle has four forward power modes and a reverse power mode. The wheels are 17 inches in diameter with Pirelli Diablo Rosso 4 tires.

Powered by a 7.1 kWh lithium-ion battery that provides a range of up to 150 kilometers from a single charge. Full power recovery takes about 3.5 hours.

Thanks to a collaboration with Italian brand Paioli, the electric bike features a 46mm adjustable fork and rear shock absorber. The DAB 1α is also equipped with Peugeot Motorcycles ABS system and Brembo brakes — four-piston brakes for the front wheel with a 320mm diameter floating disc and single-piston brakes for the rear wheel with a 240mm diameter disc.

The bike will be produced in a limited run of 400 units at Peugeot’s Beaulieu-Mander plant. The electric bike will have a starting price of $15,900 (1.46 million rubles).
