Aptera has completed the first phase of real-world testing of its solar electric vehicle

Aptera has reached a major milestone in the development of its solar electric vehicle (sEV), completing the first round of tests at a test site in the Mojave Desert. These tests confirmed the vehicle’s record-breaking energy efficiency and aerodynamic performance, bringing the company closer to the start of mass production. Record efficiency: Aptera conducted a coastdown test to measure energy loss to aerodynamic drag, rolling friction and drivetrain performance. The results were impressive: the car took more than three minutes to decelerate from 60 mph to a complete stop, even going uphill.
