Alfa Romeo 8C 2300 wins BMW Trophy at Concorso d’Eleganza 2024

The 2024 Alfa Romeo 8C 2300, styled as a 1930s spyder by Figoni, won at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este. The prestigious Trofeo BMW Group —s Best of Show prize was awarded to the proud owner from the HM Collection in Belgium. The award was presented by Helmut Kees, Head of BMW Group Classic and President of Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este, and Wilhelm Schmid, CEO of A. Lange und Söhne. In addition to the stunning trophy, the winner also received a unique 1815 white gold chronograph made by A. Lange und Söhne made especially for the event.

McLaren F1 wins Coppa d’Oro

The winner of the Coppa d’Oro Villa d’Este, according to public voting, was a 1995 McLaren F1. This successful supercar, presented by Tony Vassilopoulos from the UK, garnered the most votes from visitors to the event. Not only is the F1 an iconic car, it is also powered by a BMW S70/2 V12 engine.

The F1 is also an iconic car.

The public day Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este — il Festival attracted around 12,000 visitors and tickets sold out early in the day. On display in the Rotunda in Villa Erba Park was the 20th BMW art car styled by Julie Mehretu, as well as other iconic BMW art cars with a history of Le Mans racing.

The event was held in the Rotunda at Villa Erba Park.

Besides the 52 cars on display, BMW also showed off its new Concept Skytop two-seat roadster. The beautiful concept car was joined by the BMW R20 motorcycle and BMW’s 20th art car. The former was unveiled this week in Paris before heading to Como. The car was painted by renowned artist Julie Mehretu.
Rolls-Royce celebrated its 120th anniversary at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este with a historic class display and the unveiling of the Rolls-Royce Cullinan Series II.
