OPPO has started the global rollout of ColorOS 16 based on Android 16

OPPO has officially announced that it has begun rolling out a stable version of the ColorOS 16 operating system to a number of its devices worldwide. The rollout will start on November 6, 2025 and will be done in phases. OPPO Find N5, Find X8 Pro and Find X8 models will receive the update. The devices will be the first to receive a stable build of ColorOS 16 globally.

On November 11, 2025, the rollout of updates for the OPPO Find N3, Find N3 Flip, and OPPO Pad 3 Pro will begin. The rollout is happening in phases and users are advised to keep an eye out for official announcements

The update improves performance and interface smoothness with new Luminous Rendering Engine and Trinity Engine. This provides faster app launches, improved scrolling and accurate touch response. The interface is now more natural and aesthetically pleasing with motion effects, new animated wallpapers, and persistent full-screen mode

The version introduces AI Portrait Glow, AI Eraser, and Master Cut technologies for fast photo and video processing. AI Mind Space, AI Mind Assistant, and Smart Collections for organizing content are also available.

ColorOS 16 supports Google Gemini Live for interacting with the multimodal assistant, as well as improved file sharing and device connectivity tools via O+ Connect. The update enhances data security with Oppo Lock, including Call to Lock and dual verification features, and protects user data on private servers as part of the Private Computing Cloud
