Google is preparing an update to its Live Threat Detection defense system
The latest Google Play build shows signs of upcoming improvements for Live Threat Detection. This tool, designed to detect potentially malicious programs on your device, is about to get even more powerful.

Live Threat Detection currently uses artificial intelligence algorithms to recognize questionable app activity on a smartphone. After the update, the device will start notifying the user if it detects that an app is tracking their geo-position or other activities. In such a case, the system will also advise the user to uninstall the problematic app or revise the permissions granted to it.
According to specialized publications, Live Threat Detection will have a separate page in the Play Protect Service settings. It will list apps that have been flagged by the tool as potentially dangerous.

Owners of the latest Pixel models will be the first to appreciate the innovation. Later, the functionality is expected to become part of the standard Android 16 suite.
