How Battery Health Assistant works
Battery Health Assistant requires no user intervention. The system adjusts the charging parameters on its own based on the state of the battery. This may result in slightly longer charging times and reduced battery life, especially when compared to a new device, but it will improve battery life.
On the Pixel 9a, the feature is enabled by default and is not disabled. On other smartphones, users will be able to manually control the option: it appears under Battery Settings > Battery Status > Battery Protection.
