Gemini has started replacing Google Assistant on Wear OS

Google has begun rolling out the Gemini assistant more widely for smartwatches on Wear OS, replacing Google Assistant.

Gemini is now available on Wear OS watches

After last week’s announcement, the “Google Gemini on Wear OS” update has started showing up for more users on Google Play. To check for availability, you need to open the Play Store on your watch, scroll down to the “Manage Apps” section, and find the update in question. Once installed, you’ll see a notification saying “Gemini is now on your watch” and Google Assistant will be disabled.

  • with the command “Okay, Google”;
  • by long pressing the side button;
  • through the app icon (it is no longer displayed first in the Launcher);
  • through the Tile;
  • through the element on the dial (complication).
