Apple is gearing up to release iOS 18.2 with new AI-powered features

Last month, Apple introduced iOS 18.1 with the first Apple Intelligence features, but that release includes only a small fraction of the features announced in June. As Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman reports, the next batch of AI-powered features will appear in the iOS 18.2 update as early as early December.
And the next batch of AI-powered features are expected to arrive in the iOS 18.2 update in early December.
It’s expected that iOS 18.2 will be released in the week beginning December 2. Among the new features will be ChatGPT integration, the Image Playground app, and the ability to create Genmoji. These tools will expand AI support in iOS and will be available in non-U.S. versions of English.
Here’s what we’re expecting.

The next major update with artificial intelligence features is scheduled for iOS 18.4, due for release in April. With that release, Siri will get improved capabilities – it will be able to analyze and use data on the device’s screen to more accurately answer user queries. Additionally, in April, iPhone and iPad users in the EU will be able to experience Apple Intelligence for the first time.
