AMD unveiled frame generation technology and an updated driver

AMD introduced AMD Fluid Motion Frames (AFMF) frame generation technology in WHQL version 24.1.1 of the Radeon Adrenalin driver. AFMF is designed for notebooks and desktops with Radeon 700M cores and discrete graphics cards from the RX 6000 and RX 7000 series. It’s worth noting that AFMF technology can improve performance by 97% at 1080p resolution and 103% at 1440p, but results may vary from game to game.

The AFMF strategy can lead to increased lag in some games, so players are advised to turn it off for genres with high dynamics. The updated Radeon Adrenalin driver optimizes video enhancement algorithms and improves clarity and definition in DX11 applications on AMD Radeon RX 7000 discrete graphics cards that support 4K resolution. Radeon Adrenalin enhances AMD Smart Technology Tab and AMD Assistant technologies by introducing Content Adaptive Machine Learning (CAML) text recognition enhancements for 4K-enabled games.
