Yandex introduced YandexGPT 4 with large text support and improved features
By ForGeeks Yandex has unveiled a new generation of generative neural networks – YandexGPT 4, which includes two versions: powerful Pro and lightweight Lite. These models significantly outperform their predecessors in response quality, can process up to four times more text, and are now capable of reasoning – breaking down complex tasks into simple steps for more accurate and analytical answers.
Expanded features of YandexGPT 4
The main innovation of YandexGPT 4 is its ability to handle large amounts of text. Models can now handle up to 60 pages of text per query, four times more than the previous generation. This opens up a wide range of possibilities for businesses that need to analyze large amounts of data, such as customer calls, resumes or reports.
In addition, fourth-generation neural networks have learned to reason using the so-called chain-of-thought reasoning -the ability to break complex tasks into multiple steps. This is especially useful for tasks that require sequential analysis, such as dealing with customer complaints or solving problems with many variables.
Pro and Lite versions for different tasks
Yandex has introduced two versions of the model:
- YandexGPT 4 Pro is a powerful version for complex and time-consuming tasks such as deep data analysis, for example in sales or procurement automation. This model shows better results in 70% of cases than the previous generation, and in a number of tasks, such as open-ended questions, comes close to the quality of the GPT-4 model.
- YandexGPT 4 Lite is a lightweight version suitable for tasks where speed of response is important. This model handles simpler queries, such as sorting emails or standard client queries, at the same level as the previous version of YandexGPT.

The two models are already available for use via API Yandex Cloud, and their trial features can be tested in a demo available in chat on the platform.
Business Applications and the Future of YandexGPT 4
The next-generation models are designed to solve a variety of business problems, from automatically sorting customer requests to analyzing complex textual data. For example, they can be used to automate the processing of customer emails, analyze resumes, generate reports, or create commands for third-party applications, which will soon be available via Yandex Cloud.
