Gauss 2 multimodal structure and three versions

Samsung Gauss 2 is a multimodal AI capable of processing different types of data simultaneously, including text, images and code. The new model will be part of a range of Samsung products – smartphones, tablets, laptops, and even home appliances.

Gauss 2 is available in three versions:

  • Compact: a compact model optimized for use on devices without an internet connection, such as smartphones and tablets.
  • Balanced: a version with a balance between performance, speed and efficiency that may require a network connection.
  • Supreme: a model with maximum performance that uses Mixture of Experts technology to select the most appropriate expert module for a particular task.

Each version supports 9 to 14 languages and multiple programming languages. Performance Gauss 2 s improved by 1.5 to 3 times over the previous version, allowing you to complete tasks faster.

Implementation of Gauss 2 in Samsung employees

Already Gauss 2 is being used extensively within the company. More than 60% of developers in the DX division use the model for coding (Code.ai), document automation, letter writing and translation tasks. The technology also helps call center employees by automatically categorizing and summarizing customer calls.

At the same time, DX’s call center employees are also using the model to automate the classification and summarization of customer calls.

Samsung DX President and CTO Paul Kyung-hoon Chun said:
“Samsung Electronics is committed to developing advanced software, including AI and data analytics, to improve user experience. With three different versions, Samsung Gauss 2 is already improving our internal productivity, and we plan to integrate it into products to offer more convenience and personalization.”
