Huawei introduced MatePad Mini as a premium compact device between a smartphone and a tablet. Its main advantage is its display. On board is an 8.8-inch OLED with 2.5K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The brightness reaches 1800 nits and the bezels are only 2.99 mm. At 5.1mm thick and weighing 255g, the device feels ultra-light.

The tablet supports Huawei M-Pencil Pro and runs HarmonyOS 5.1. It is rumored to be powered by the company’s proprietary Kirin 9010 chip, though the manufacturer has not confirmed this. The battery capacity is 6400 mAh and there is 66W fast charging. For photos there is a dual camera of 50 + 8 MP and a front camera of 32 MP.
MatePad Mini supports Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.2 and SIM connectivity for mobile data. In China, prices start at 3,899 yuan for the Collector’s Edition with 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage.
Redmi K Pad
Redmi has bet on performance and launched K Pad as a gaming compact tablet. The device features an 8.8-inch 3K LCD screen with a refresh rate of 165Hz. HDR10, HDR Vivid, and Dolby Vision are supported, and the panel is protected by Gorilla Glass 5.

Inside is a Dimensity 9400+ processor and a massive cooling system with a 12,050 mm² VC chamber. There’s bypass-charging for long gaming sessions, and sound is output by quad-coil stereo speakers. There are also dual X-axis motors for tactile feedback.
The tablet runs on Android 15 with the proprietary HyperOS 2 shell. Configurations go up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. Pricing starts at 2,799 yuan ($585) for the top-of-the-line model.
Red Magic Astra Gaming Tablet
Red Magic has brought to the global market Astra Gaming Tablet with a focus on cybersports. The device gets a 9.06-inch OLED display with 2.4K resolution, 165Hz and 1600 nits peak brightness. The screen is complemented by PWM dimming and DTS:X Ultra speakers.

Inside, there’s Snapdragon 8 Elite, up to 24GB of LPDDR5T RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.1 Pro storage. The tablet runs Android 15 with Redmagic OS 10.5, and features include a fingerprint scanner in the power button, bypass-charging, and an 8200 mAh battery with 80W fast charging.
Prices start at $549 for the 12/256GB version and go all the way up to $899 for the top-of-the-line 24/1TB configuration.
Lenovo Legion Y700 (2025)
Lenovo continues to develop its gaming tablet series and has unveiled the fourth generation Legion Y700. The device gets an 8.8-inch LCD screen with 3K resolution and up to 165Hz. Peak brightness is 600 nits.

The Snapdragon 8 Elite, up to 16GB of LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.0 are responsible for performance. A 41,356 mm² 7-layer VC system is used for cooling. A 7,600mAh battery supports 68W charging.
The tablet features support for the gamepad Legion G9, which turns the Y700 into a portable gaming console. The tablet’s price in China starts at 3,299 yuan ($462), with the controller offered separately for 499 yuan ($69).
iPad Mini (7th generation, 2025)
