The best PC games are coming in 2025 and beyond.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2

Unlike the first installment, Spidey fans didn’t have to wait too long before the game, a PlayStation exclusive, would be released on PC. “Spider-Man 2” improves on everything everyone loved so much about the first game. There’s a deeper story with Kraven and Venom, Peter and Miles as playable characters, and an even bigger city to run around and fly around on the web. Knowing how highly praised this game was on the PS5, it’s safe to say that it could be even better on a top-of-the-line PC.
So far, it’s a good bet that it’s going to be even better on a high-end PC.
Monster Hunter Wilds — February 28
.

In Monster Hunter Wilds, a new world filled with big and evil monsters awaits you. You’ll have plenty of tools at your disposal to hunt the biggest creatures in the world, but now you also have to worry about weather and storms getting in your way and even taking your life. Sid Meier’s Civilization VII — February 11
.

If you’re a longtime fan of the game series, it’s time to start thinking about taking a vacation or sick leave from work for February 2025 to fully immerse yourself in the new installment of Civilization. It promises to have the same addictive gameplay as the previous installment, plus even more features, functions and modes to keep you entertained.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows — February 14

Whether you like the new or old style of Assassin’s Creed, Shadows seems to have found a way to please all of its fans. Each protagonist plays differently, so you can choose to go the more aggressive and combat-oriented route or stay in the shadows and use stealth. Either way, it’s worth seeing how Ubisoft will bring feudal Japan to life. It should be beautiful and interesting.
Avowed — February 18
.

If you loved Skyrim and The Outer Worlds, the next game from Obsidian looks like the perfect combination of the two. Skyrim’s perspective, combat, and fantasy setting are matched with the size and detail of The Outer Worlds. If the story, quests and characters are consistent with the studio’s past games, this could be a very strong game to start the year.

Doom: The Dark Ages

In Doom: The Dark Ages, Dumgai is back and ready to destroy demons once again. Despite the shift back in time, the game looks to be even more violent and bloody. The story will tell the origin story of Dumgai, but all players really care about — is slaying demons with new guns to a rousing and incredibly upbeat soundtrack.
Little Nightmares III

In the game Little Nightmares III, you’ll journey behind Lowe and Odna, who are searching for a path that can lead them out of Nowhere. Trapped in the Spiral, a cluster of disturbing locations, the two friends will have to work together to survive in a dangerous world full of hallucinations and escape the grip of an even greater threat lurking in the shadows. This time it’s all about cooperative play — you can go on an adventure with a friend online or with a companion controlled by artificial intelligence.

Grand Theft Auto VI

GTA 6 will travel to the Leonida State (based on Florida), which has the neon streets of Vice City, beautiful beaches, and creepy swamps full of rednecks. Nothing is known about the game’s plot yet, but for the first time in the history of the series, a woman will play the role of the protagonist. At the moment the industry is considering the release date of the next Grand Theft Auto as late 2025 or early 2026. The long-awaited game will be released on consoles first, but PC users will have to wait a bit longer.
Terminator: Survivors

The action of Terminator: Survivors takes place in the aftermath of Doomsday, four years after humanity was nearly wiped out by the rebel machines. Play alone or in co-op with up to three players to create a base of operations for the remaining humans and fight back against Skynet.
Death Stranding 2

First announced by Hideo Kojima at the Game Awards 2022, Death Stranding 2 — a real project in development. We know that actor Norman Reedus will return to the role of Sam, but any attempts to predict the plot are futile.

Borderlands 4

Let’s forget about the bomb movie and focus on Borderlands 4. Announced with just a teaser, the new game will give us that cool and crazy RPG with loot and shooting that we’ve been missing for so long. Before making any conclusions, we should have seen a little more than just a teaser. But we can already hope that the new part will be as exciting and dynamic as the previous ones.
Marathon — April 27
.

Bungie is looking to reaffirm its mastery of sci-fi shooters (Destiny 2 and Halo) with a nostalgic look back at the ’90s with the updated classic Marathon. The mining-oriented PvP shooter is set on the mysterious Tau Ceti IV, where players become cybernetic mercenaries navigating the remnants of a lost colony. Alone or in teams of three, you’ll hunt for alien artifacts, loot, and equipment.

Dune: Awakening

The Dune franchise is in full swing right now, with several games in development, but none as exciting as Dune: Awakening. It’s the first MMO in the Dune universe, and it looks incredibly ambitious. The ability to build bases, form alliances and participate in large-scale battles for such important spices will make this game a real hit, which will appeal not only to fans of this game genre, but also to fans of this universe.
Games that don’t have a release window
All we know about the games listed below — is that they are in development. Most of them are probably still a few years away from release.
And most of them are still in development.
InZoi

As much as we love The Sims 4, it’s a bit dated at this point. InZoi claims to be the new best life simulation game ever, where you can control pretty much every aspect of the world as you see fit. Unlike The Sims, this game looks incredibly realistic and focuses on more than just people.
Hollow Knight: Silksong
One of the best games of 2017 has gotten a sequel in the form of Hollow Knight: Silksong, which will be released on PC and consoles in the future. The stunning visuals, Metroidvania gameplay, and atmosphere of the original Hollow Knight will put you in the shoes of Hornet, a princess tasked with protecting Hollownest. Silksong was announced in 2022, and there is still no news and details about the development and release date. But as always we hope for the best and expect the game’s release to not be delayed and the project to not go into production hell.
Silksong’s release date is still a long way off, but we’re hoping for the best.
The Wolf Among Us 2

The Wolf Among Us 2 — an episodic graphic adventure game from Telltale Games based on the DC Comics Fables comic book series. The game was originally scheduled for release in 2023, but has been pushed back to an unspecified date.

The Elder Scrolls VI

Let’s face it: we have no idea when The Elder Scrolls VI will be released. It’s still a long way off, and details about the project are very, very scarce, but rumors are always swirling, and we know it’s bound to come out on PC at some point.
We’re not sure when it’s going to come out on PC.
State of Decay 3

State of Decay 3 exists and is in development, and that’s pretty much all we know. A sequel to Undead Labs’ open-world zombie game from a few years ago, State of Decay 3 will be released exclusively on Xbox Series X and PC, and will be available on Game Pass on release day.

Haunted Chocolatier

A new project from the creator of the hit farming simulator Stardew Valley, Haunted Chocolatier is about opening a chocolate store in a haunted castle in the middle of a snowy landscape. Like in Stardew, the game will involve a lot of gathering ingredients, getting to know the townspeople and some combat to a cool and atmospheric soundtrack. Developers ConcernedApe are working on this project in secret and rather secretive, so details about it are reported quite rarely — nothing is known about the release date yet.

The Outer Worlds 2

The Outer Worlds 2 — the upcoming sequel to the dystopian sci-fi RPG The Outer Worlds, which is often compared to Bethesda’s Fallout 4 and Starfield. Xbox first showed a short trailer for the game at E3 2021, but no new details were revealed at any of the company’s presentations in 2022 and 2023. From the looks of it, the release of this game is still a long way off. But since the universe along with the mechanics are cool and promising, we’re all looking forward to some new details.
All of us are looking forward to some new details.
