Redmi Turbo 5 specs revealed ahead of launch

The Redmi Turbo 5 series is officially launching in China tomorrow, and in the lead-up to the announcement, the company has been gradually unveiling key details about the lineup. After revealing the specs for the Turbo 5 Max, Redmi has now shared specifics about the standard Redmi Turbo 5 model.
In a series of posts on Weibo, Redmi confirmed that the Turbo 5 will be powered by the Dimensity 8500-Ultra chipset. This SoC will be paired with ultra-fast LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. For cooling, the phone features a sealed 3D vapor chamber, which the company says offers more efficient heat dissipation.
The display and battery specs have also been revealed. The Redmi Turbo 5 sports a 6.59-inch AMOLED screen and packs a hefty 7,560mAh battery. Charging is equally impressive, with support for 100W fast wired charging as well as 27W reverse wired charging.
The phone features a metal frame, slim bezels around the display, and a glass back panel. Official images show the Redmi Turbo 5 in white and mint green color options. Pricing is expected to land around 2,000 yuan in China, which is roughly $290.
