Chery has unveiled four new Exeed electric cars with a range of up to 1,700 kilometers and advanced technologies
Chery held a massive event to showcase the future of its premium Exeed brand. Four new electric cars were unveiled at once: the ES7 GT, ES8, ET8 and ET9. These models should help the brand recover sales after a disappointing year — from January through November, Exeed sold 97,706 vehicles, down about 24% from last year. To turn things around, Chery is betting on the high-tech and impressive performance of the new electric cars.
Exeed ES7 GT is in shooting brake format — it is a sporty station wagon with a dynamic design. The car uses an electric powertrain with extended range and three electric motors. This configuration allows acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in less than three seconds. The total range reaches 1,700 kilometers, and support for 1,000-volt fast charging allows you to top up to 450 kilometers of range in just five minutes with a compatible charging station.
The vehicle’s electric powertrain can be used for a total of 1,700 kilometers.

Another sporty model is the Exeed ES8. It features excellent aerodynamics with a drag coefficient of 0.22 Cd. The main feature of the car is a new solid-state battery that theoretically provides up to 1,000 kilometers of range on a single charge. The ES8 also features a rear wheel thruster system for better maneuverability. The interior features a 15.6-inch screen and an intelligent control system based on a Qualcomm processor and Huawei software.

For buyers who want space and comfort, Chery has revealed two large SUVs. The Exeed ET8 — is a roomy six-seater with an angular design focused on passenger comfort. It features «4D»-massage seats and a 31-speaker audio system. The flagship of the lineup is the Exeed ET9 — a luxury SUV with Rolls-Royce-style rear doors. It supports a «tank-turn» mode that lets you turn around on the spot, and also features swivel seats and a supplemental oxygen system in the cabin.

Safety and intelligent driving feature prominently in Chery’s new strategy. All four models will get the company’s proprietary Falcon driver assistance system. By 2026, the company expects to achieve Level 3 autonomy, where the car will be able to perform most driving tasks autonomously. In addition, Chery will begin testing the Rhino S all-solid-state battery as early as next year.
