Oppo Find X9 Ultra will get a dual 200-megapixel camera

Oppo has revised the camera system of the Find X9 Ultra flagship. According to insider Digital Chat Station, the smartphone will be equipped with two 200-megapixel modules instead of the previously announced configuration with one 200MP and two 50MP cameras.

It was previously reported that only the Vivo X300 Ultra will have two 200-megapixel cameras. A new leak refutes that information, with Oppo changing the specs of the Find X9 Ultra to add a second 200-megapixel camera.

Oppo has changed the specs of the Find X9 Ultra, adding a second 200-megapixel camera to the system.

Updated camera system

According to Digital Chat Station, the Find X9 Ultra’s main camera is built around a 200-megapixel extra-large sensor. The manufacturer claims that the aperture performance is superior to current one-inch sensors. Oppo has focused on sensor area efficiency and optics to improve shooting in challenging lighting conditions.

The smartphone will feature two periscopic cameras. The first is a 200-megapixel mid-range periscope for quality lossless zoom at moderate focal lengths. The second is an ultra-long-range periscope with 10x optical zoom based on a 50-megapixel sensor. If the information is confirmed, the Find X9 Ultra will be the only smartphone with native 10x optical zoom at this level. The system will allow you to capture distant subjects and close-ups without heavy digital cropping.

Earlier reports pointed to standard equipment: A 200-megapixel Sony IMX09E main camera with optical stabilization, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle module, and two 50-megapixel periscopes. The new data suggests a significant hardware overhaul. Oppo is betting on native focal lengths up to 230mm with high-quality extensions up to 460mm. The approach should deliver consistent quality at wide angle, medium telephoto, and extreme zoom.

Other features

The Find X9 Ultra will get a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. Other expected features include an ultrasonic under-screen fingerprint scanner, Android 16-based ColorOS 16 operating system and a battery with a capacity of over 7,000 mAh with support for 80W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. It’s scheduled to launch in the first quarter of 2026 in China.
