Huawei held a big event in Barcelona to showcase the brand’s latest wearable devices — the GT4 series watch, Freebuds Pro 3 wireless headphones and Eyewear 2 glasses, as well as the new MatePad 11.5″ PaperMatte Edition tablet focused on taking care of your eyesight.

The company has announced a new version of its MatePad 11.5 tablet with a new PaperMatte screen. The new nano-etched screen coating provides a paper-like feel, reduces glare, reduces eye strain and provides a more natural writing experience with the second-generation M-Pencil stylus.

The rest of the specs remain the same — an 11.5-inch TFT LCD display with a resolution of 1440×2200 and a 120Hz refresh rate. The tablet features a custom 4G Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset, 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The tablet also features a 13MP main camera and an 8MP front camera. The battery has a 7,700mAh capacity with 22.5W USB-C charging support, and HarmonyOS 3.1.

HarmonyOS 3.1 is responsible for the software.

MatePad 11.5 PaperMatte Edition comes in Space Gray color and will retail for 500 euros starting September 19.

As a direct successor to last year’s Freebuds Pro 2. The FreeBuds Pro 3 features a dual speaker system and promises clearer treble and a “powerful base sound”. The company’s latest flagship wireless headphones also offer triple adaptive equalization for crisp sound and support for Hi-Res audio codecs LDAC and L2HC 2.0.

Huawei also offers an updated Intelligent Dynamic ANC 3.0 system that provides even better noise cancellation. And a new Pure Voice 2.0 microphone that promises to pick up your voice even in the most challenging environments. There’s a battery life of 31 hours and dual-device pairing.

Huawei Eyewear 2

The latest innovation in the wearable devices division — the Eyewear 2 smartglasses. They allow you to listen to music through the built-in speaker for up to 11 hours and feature interchangeable Zeiss prescription lenses. Eyewear 2 have a titanium frame weighing only 4.7 grams and touch-sensitive controls on the sides.
