Anbernic is preparing a budget Nintendo-style dual-screen console

The main advantage of Android — is its flexibility: the system is able to adapt to any format and screen size almost effortlessly. It’s this quality that has brought forgotten form factors back to life, including classic devices like the old Blackberry. And for Nintendo DS and 3DS fans, it’s given rise to a new wave of dual-screen Android handheld consoles. Now manufacturers like AYANEO and AYN have been joined by ANBERNIC, which has unveiled its own dual-screen console called the RG DS. Its main trump card will be its affordable price — less than $100. Despite the simple name, the device looks pretty spectacular. The teaser shows several colors: glossy red, shiny blue, creamy white and a transparent variant. The last one especially stands out — the transparent case is made with a fully glass top, making the console visually similar to collectible models. The rest of the colors are clearly inspired by the classic Nintendo DS and 3DS versions.
