Vivo unveiled OriginOS 6 with an updated design and improved animations

The OriginOS 6 operating system has been officially unveiled. Its announcement was one of the highlights of the vivo 2025 developer conference, where the company also showed off BlueOS 3.0 and CarLink 3.0. OriginOS 6 has received a completely revamped design, which vivo says looks more spatial and layered. UI elements now have a three-dimensional effect that creates a sense of depth through shadows and translucency — visually reminiscent of «Liquid Glass » from iOS 26. The animations have also been completely redesigned, with the system getting a new motion curve and interface details becoming smoother and more natural, providing a more intuitive interaction with the device. The icons in OriginOS 6 are inspired by the textured icon design used in the vivo X Fold5. The play of light and shadows makes them look more three-dimensional and create a sense of depth. OriginOS 6 has already been unveiled in China, and the international announcement will take place on October 15. The first smartphones to come out of the box with the new system are — the vivo X300 and the iQOO 15 series. OriginOS 6 has already been unveiled in China and will be launched internationally on October 15. The company also announced the launch of OriginOS 6 public beta testing, which will begin in November. The vivo X Fold5, the vivo X200 series, as well as the iQOO 13 and iQOO Neo10 will be the first to receive the update.
