Oppo has launched the A6 Pro smartphone

Oppo is expanding its A6 series with the 4G version of the A6 Pro, which debuted in Vietnam. The model is the successor to the Oppo A5 4G (also known as the A5i Pro and A5m in some regions) and has received notable improvements.

The smartphone is built on the MediaTek Helio G100 chipset — the company’s latest 4G processor. It’s equipped with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. It uses an evaporative cooling chamber for cooling.

The Oppo A6 Pro 4G is priced at around $315, though insiders say this may only be a temporary price — it seems high for such a device.

The model features a 6.57-inch OLED display with 1080p+ resolution, up to 1,400 nits of brightness, and 80-watt charging support for a 7,000 mAh battery. That’s a major step up from the A5 4G, which had a 720p+ IPS screen and 45W of charging.

On the back, there’s a 50MP camera capable of shooting 1080p video at 60fps, as well as a 2MP depth sensor. The 16 MP front camera supports 1080p recording at 30fps.

The device gets impressive protection: IPX6, IPX8 and IPX9, and has been tested to the MIL-STD-810H military standard.

Oppo’s other features include stereo speakers with 300% volume mode, 360° NFC antenna, a brightness-enhanced display mode for outdoors and a data transfer system compatible with Apple’s AirDrop.

Oppo A6 Pro 4G is available in Lunar Titanium, Stellar Blue, Coral Pink and Rosewood Red colors. The configuration is just one — 8/256GB.
