Rumor: Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold will be released on September 29th

Samsung has been working on a new generation of foldable devices for a while now, which leaks suggest could be called the Galaxy G Fold. Unlike the familiar Z Fold series models, the new product will feature a dual hinge, which is often referred to online as “triple folding.” Now an Ice Universe insider has revealed the device’s announcement date.

According to the data, Samsung will unveil the Galaxy Z TriFold in South Korea on September 29. At the same Galaxy Unpacked event, it’s expected to launch the Project Moohan XR headset, which could be renamed the Galaxy XR, as well as artificial intelligence-branded Galaxy Glasses smartglasses.

The date of September 29 has been previously mentioned in leaks, but it was exclusively linked to the presentation of the XR headset. Now it’s been revealed that Samsung may show a unique foldable smartphone and new smart glasses along with it. Project Moohan is rumored to go on sale in South Korea on October 13, 2025, and the Galaxy Z TriFold could come out in the same time window – in the fourth quarter.

The price of the foldable Galaxy Z TriFold is expected to be more than 4 million Korean won (about $2,930). That price tag is due to its complex design and expensive components. And sales are expected to be limited to South Korea and China.

The Galaxy XR headset is rumored to cost between 2.5 and 4 million won (~$1,800-$2,000) and will eventually enter the global market. As for the Galaxy Glasses, their unveiling will come as a surprise: the Ray-Ban Meta* style smartglasses were previously expected to debut only by the end of 2026. So it’s likely Samsung will only teaser the new device at September’s Unpacked.
