Huawei Mate 60: leaked design

The Huawei Mate 60 is in production, and we’ve already seen one leaked image suggesting a dual-color rear panel design. Today, new photos have emerged from the factory where assembly appears to be taking place. In them, we’ve seen more color options, as well as confirmation of the new design and the round camera island.

One Mate 60 smartphone is presented in purple: the upper part of the glass is matte and the lower part — transparent, which gives the impression of having two shades of the same color depending on the angle of light falling on the surface.

The «ivory —white» variant has an all-gray underside, while the «black» variant appears to be missing this design element. We can’t confirm or deny this with certainty, as the photos were taken from a great distance, and the angle is not too good.

The image of the phone in hand looks suspiciously clean, without any reflections, and we think it’s a render built on what we should expect from the Huawei Mate 60 — a camera on a round island with the Xmage lettering in the center. The camera combination is likely to change depending on whether it’s the base variant, the Pro version or the Porsche Design modification.
