Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE with Exynos 2400 chip

Samsung has expanded its foldable smartphone lineup with the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE, a new Fan Edition model released at the same time as the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 flagships. Despite the new name, the device is much the same as last year’s Flip 6, offering a familiar design with updated hardware and a focus on affordability.

Familiar design – new platform

Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE gets the same 6.7-inch internal display with adaptive refresh rate up to 120Hz as the Flip 6. The outer screen, a 3.4-inch Super AMOLED panel, is also unchanged. Unlike the standard version of the Flip 7, the FE model doesn’t have an enlarged edge-to-edge screen: it’s this feature that has become the main exterior difference between the two devices in 2025.

Samsung has limited itself to two colors for the Flip 7 FE: black and white. No pastel shades, no gradient solutions – the focus is on simplicity and restraint.

Cameras: betting on the proven

The Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE’s cameras are virtually identical to its predecessor and include:

  • 50MP main camera
  • 12MP ultra-wide-angle
  • 10MP front-facing camera

The FlexCam mode lets you shoot photos and videos in a semi-unfolded state, without having to hold your smartphone in your hands. It’s great for vlogs, social media, and self-portraits. It’s also great for portraits, providing soft backgrounds and a pronounced bokeh effect.

I&I features and data protection

The Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE integrates Galaxy AI’s proprietary AI tools, including Generative Edit and Edit Suggestions, features for editing photos without re-shooting. The smartphone is powered by One UI 8, based on Android 16, and inherits all the latest data security features.

The main improvement is the Knox Enhanced Encrypted Protection (KEEP) system, which creates encrypted storage areas for individual apps. This means that each application sees only its own data, eliminating leaks. There’s also Knox Matrix support to protect multiple Galaxy devices in a single ecosystem.
