Xiaomi has provided solid support for the recently announced Redmi K60 Ultra (also known as Extreme Edition) in China.

The phone will receive no less than 4 major Android updates, 5 years of security updates, and will also be part of the first wave of devices to receive MIUI 15. Except for the last point, the brand is repeating Samsung’s well-known update policy for most of its Galaxy devices.

The announcement was made on Redmi’s official Weibo page. The company doesn’t specify how many MIUI updates the phone is entitled to — globally, MIUI updates are usually released for years after Android version updates are discontinued. The Redmi K60 Ultra is expected to be a global version of the Xiaomi 13T Pro with slightly better cameras, but the same 6.67-inch 144Hz OLED display, Dimensity 9200+ chipset and a 5,000mAh battery with 120W charging.
