Rumor: Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra will get a flat screen

Leaks about the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra so far have been quite expected — camera upgrades, design changes, faster charging, etc. However, the latest report is somewhat shocking. According to reliable tipster Ice Universe, the upcoming Galaxy S24 Ultra will feature a flat display instead of a curved one.
Samsung was the first to introduce a curved screen design in 2014 with the Galaxy Note Edge, and later switched the entire Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S9 lineup to curved glass. Since then, the company has returned to flat screens for the younger members of its flagship lineup, and now it may switch the most premium device to them as well.
Ice Universe claims that the Galaxy S24 Ultra will be 79mm wide, which can only be explained by the move to a flat screen. The Galaxy S23 Ultra is 78.1mm wide thanks to its curved edges. The company could simply be using a larger screen, which would explain this discrepancy.
